Assassin is a specialization of the Rogue class in Dragon Age 3: Inquisition Specializations in Dragon Age 3.

 

 Any rogue can kill a target, but assassins make death into an art form. They specialize in quick, deadly kills that let them slide back into the shadows undetected, or indirect kills that eliminate targets while the assassin is safely away.

 

How to Become an Assassin

 

You must complete the Way of the Assassin quest in order to receive this Specialization. It initiates by speaking with Heir in the Skyhold courtyard after completing the Specializations for the Inquisitor War Table Operation. You must collect 20 Deathroot and 3 Assassin Guild Leader Token from the 3 locations listed below. They are random drops, and also drop from 3 specific enemies. Once you've collected the above materials you must craft the Knife at an "Inspect Requisitions" table.

NOTE: The name of the drop is actually called : "Assassin Weapon"


Craft a proper knife, study the methods required to wield it, and Heir will reveal the secrets of the Assassin specialization. Guild Leader Tokens can be found on Assassin Guild Leaders at: 1 in East Side Hills, 1 in The Flats, 1 in Black Fens in Crestwood. Readings can be found among the belongings of Cole or, if those are unavailable, among the wares of the book merchant in Val Royeaux .

  • Objectives:
  1. Acquire Writing on Assassin Methods.
  2. Acquire three Assassin Guild Leader Token.
  3. Acquire 20 Deathroot.
  4. Gather knife materials.



Guild leader tokens may be found at the East Side Hills, The Flats, and the Black Fens in Crestwood. Readings can be found among the belongings of Cole or, if those are unavailable, among the wares of the book merchant in Val Royeaux.

Note: You must complete Specializations for the Inquisitor operation on the war table in Skyhold.

Hidden Blades

They’ll swear you leapt from the shadows like a thrown blade and hit your target with a flurry of strikes from every angle... but it’s obvious that you were nowhere near them at the time.

  • Number of Hits: 3
  • Damage per Hit: 300% Weapon Damage
  • Cooldown: 32 Seconds
  • Cost: 65 Stamina

Upgrades

Overkill

You use Hidden Blades faster and more easily, launching even more strikes on your victim.

  • Cooldown Reduction: 4 Seconds
  • Additional Hits: 3

No Witnesses

Hidden Blades now also damages enemies near the primary target.

Knockout Bomb

You hurl a grenade containing a powerful concoction that puts nearby enemies to sleep. Sleeping enemies awaken after taking damage.

  • Duration: 10 Seconds
  • Cooldown: 24 Seconds
  • Cost: 50 Stamina

Upgrades

Comatose

Enemies affected by Knockout Bomb sleep more deeply, allowing your allies to hit them even harder with flanking damage.

Dream of Pain

Shrapnel from Knockout Bomb now leaves enemies bleeding for a short time.

Mark of Death

You mark your enemy, and every hit adds part of its power to the mark's damage. Trigger your mark when you are ready, and watch your foe fall from injuries that were never even noticed. You can manually trigger the mark early for bonus damage.

  • Stored Damage: 100%
  • Duration: 8 Seconds
  • Cooldown: 32 Seconds
  • Cost: 10 Stamina

Upgrades

Mark of Doom

While it is active, Mark of Death leaves the target vulnerable to even more injury.

  • Armor Reduction: 20%

Lasting Mark

Mark of Death lasts even longer, but can no longer be manually triggered early for bonus damage.

Cloak of Shadows

You go into stealth, and your allies follow your lead. The entire party remains undetected for the duration of the effect, even while attacking. This ability consumes and is powered by focus.

  • Tier 1: 3 seconds
  • Tier 2: 6 seconds
  • Tier 3: 9 seconds

A wounded enemy is the perfect target. Your attacks are even deadlier against targets that are close to death already.

  • Damage Bonus: 2% for each 10% missing health

You have learned to use the distraction of an enemy's death to slip silently into the shadows. Killing a target removes any cooldown on Stealth.
