Knight-Captain Denam is a hostile NPC in Dragon Age: Inquisition. He is encountered in
Therinfal Redoubt during the
Champions of the Just quest if the inquisitor has chosen to purse the templar side of the quest.
Denam arrives instead of the Lord Seeker at your arranged meeting, revealing the plan to purge "questioning" knights from the Order. He attacks the party and other templars together with a small group: this makes Knight-Templar Barris join forces with you.
Denam is not killed in the fight, and can later be judged during the Sit in Judgement phase in Skyhold
